Hi OF, For sale is my Omega Signal Corps trench watch which I purchased earlier this year on OF. Click here for original sales post. I'm still feeling my way around as to which direction my watch collecting is heading and would like to pass this watch onto someone else who feels it needs to be in their collection. The watch has been well worn and comes with an interesting provenance with the original owner having served in France during the First World War. Case: 35mm without crown. Nickel plating is quite worn. Case back and inner cover both stamped with serial number 6105915. Crown: Nickel plating on most of the crown has worn away. It looks like some of the nickel plating has separated from the crown and remains between the crown and case. Soldered wire lugs firmly attached but bottom lug bent but still wearable. Dial: Enamel dial is in good condition with no apparent chips or cracks. Some of the hour markers have lost their radium lume. Hands: Appear to be original. The colour does vary slightly on the two hands possibly with the minute hand been relumed. Crystal: High domed crystal. Most likely a replacement. Movement: Cal 13 SO, serial number 5073905, circa 1916-1917. I wound the crown only a couple of times and the movement began to run. Prior service history is unknown so a service is recommended. Accessories: Leather bund strap, Wooden "Coming Home" box, Dog tags, Cap, Unit Patch (79th Infantry Division), Army stripes (Private Rank), War Risk insurance document, Belt buckle (possible souvenir brought back from the war as it was issued to the Prussian Army), Ammunition clip.
