I like Mike´s postings very much and so I decided to make a similar but different one Here are siblings of early bumper automatics Cal. 28.10 They are like twins and both in near NOS condition. What makes them so special is the fact that their movement serial numbers are very close, only 25 numbers apart! Both have a very special patented case construction. The back consists of 2 parts: the wide inner part carries the gasket and is put onto the case - the separate outer narrow "ring" part (like a bezel) secures the back when pressed onto - see picture. The reason why I like these watches so much is the dial which resembles the beauty of the roman dials of the 30 T2 chronometers. Hope you like them too... have a great weekend Erich
Almost like a hybrid dial - combining elements from both the manual wind chronometres like Erich said as well as the 2499 "small centenary"
The case construction with the two-piece back is very interesting. Do other Omega models use this system, or are these examples unique?
Wow, beautiful pair you've got there I've never even seen that model before and you have two perfect examples, looks like I need to up my game a bit!
Gentlemen, thank you all for your kind comments! Yes I know that most of you are Constellation and Speedmaster lovers and you are not so familiar with this old stuff... I wondered that nobody called DIBS though kind regards Erich
Dibs! Dear Erich, the real reason we are not familiar is because these are like..."hens teeth"... In fact, I didn't know there existed an Omega with such class and beauty... Thank you!
Erich, You need to educate us more on these early omegas! Looking forward to more threads like this one.
