Good morning everyone.
So i spoke about this issue with my OMega moonphase that was sent to service in janaury. Will the update is here and the wait is over the watch is in my hand. I just want to vent here and let people know what happened. To start my watch was running slow so they advised me to send it in. the watch had low amplitude and was magnetized. They first wait they will have it back in 4 weeks. 6 weeks go by and nothing. I call in they cant find my watch, 2 days later they find it and say they have to send it to HQ because they do not have anyone that can work on the 9904A movement in the states. 3 weeks go by and no update. I call again um the watch is in NJ and completed. Wait no its in HQ, No wait its on its way back. And this was 6 months. Could never get a straight answer from them managers directors no one. THey never called me back never emailed. I was told 4 times that it was completed and coming back. I call the next day and get a different story. It was around 6 months total. Swatch did try to "make it right"they send me a nato strap and a rubber strap for my seamaster. That alone is now another issue and i had to send back my seamaster becase thye messed up a repair. I have been stuck in a spot becasue everytjing is under warranty and didnt want to pay out of pocket. To fun part is now my speedmaster has scratched on the side of the case and the clasp. I emailed them about this and waiting for a response. To note i have no problem waiting for a service but when i call a billion dollar compnay and they tell me they can not find my watch or dont know where it is thats my issue. I called once a week and got a different answer every time. I dont understand why they do that. Why not findout where and what is going on and tell me and i would have had no problem.

rant complete thank you for reading. If you have to send this movement into them dont lol. Or wait until they hire more techs.

There are some past threads were people had contact info for HQ in order to bypass the BS from the US operation. Sadly your experience is not unique.

i reached out directly to omega and they said they couldnt help me that it was through the service center. I have sent a good ten watches to the new jersey center over the past few years and have never had a problem it was always smooth. The only other issue i had was my seamaster was sent in for a date issue and when i got it back it was 2 mins slow per day so they are performing a full service on it right now. Other than this its been perfect. I think they have alot of new people and tech due to loss of employees from covid and have never fully recovered. They told me most of their techs are new.

I would check with the other centers to have them confirm they have a tech that can handle it or see if you can send directly to HQ the issue i had i think is with the new jersey employees not knowing anything or just not caring.
