Good afternnon everyone, I would like to see if someone could give me some information on this watch.
Hi Siggi, Welcome to the Forum! Looks like quite an interesting find. What have you found out yourself already on this watch? Googled ‘vintage Omega Seamaster’ and looked for this model and serial numbers to date and further determine the watch? The amount of high res pics on this Forum is 1:1 correlated with the amount of / quality of the feedback you will get from its members. So, if you could provide with some inside pics, that might help. Happy hunting! W
Be sure to take a picture of the serial number on the movement as we'll be able to tell the exact year it was produced... So far I can say that it's a 70s watch...
I'm in an unusually good mood today so here is a gift. http://naligazone.com/index.php/dat.../25-watch/omega/caliber5/884-cal565-st166-042
Judging from the stainless steel back, I think it's gold-capped. Plated would have gold color on the back, too.
I was thinking the same thing as you. Until i read the link and caught that text at the bottom. I was surprised to see that.
Well I got the watch just now and will take it on monday to see how it looks and runs inside. The watch is absolutly stunning and in mint state.
