Hello!

I just wanted your opinions on this Seamaster, it has no Seamaster text on it. Is there variations like this ore could this be a old redial where it simply has been overpainted?

Thank you,

Victor

I guess it's best to just not reprint anything as this watch looks good, the crown on the other hand ... 🙁

Rather someone cleaned the dial and removed all printing.
Agreed. I would suggest to keep looking if you are interested in acquiring a vintage Omega. Fully original examples bring so much more joy which will last on forever, while this may look quite clean it is a far cry from what left the factory.

To my knowledge there are vintage Seamasters without the “Seamaster” text that are authentic. I believe that my 1962 reference 14389, photo below, is one of them. That being said, I’ve never seen one with NO text that wasn’t a redial.

I got two Seamasters but I couldn’t quite figure what had happened to this one. Yeah I think this seem to be the best explanation. I’ve seen seamasters with just Omega on it but never like this one. Thanks to all!!

There are Seamasters without the model name on the dial, 1948-1949 2576 and 2577s for example. The Seamaster writing was then introduced on then ~1950. This isn’t the reason why this example is free of any text (also the Swiss Made), as @watchyouwant pointed out.
