Hello,

I am new here, and I´m lookin g for some information about a watch I just got from a family member.
I is a Seamaster, probably of the fifties, but I do not fond any further details. Maybe someone here has an idea what model this is?

And another question: my watchmaker told me that the dial probably has drawn a little moisture, hence the damage. Is this correct? And if so, can it be fixed?

Thanks for any information
U

It’s a 2846 reference with a 500 or 501 caliber movement dating to 1955-1958. If you get the caseback opened and take photos of the movement and inside of the caseback we can tell you a bit more.
