1958 Omega Ranchero 2990-1: Steel or Two-Tone BOR?

Hey OF experts! Attached is a pic of my 1958 Ranchero on a brown leather strap. I want to have a bracelet option for this watch. Given the yellow patina of this dial I can't decide between an all steel 1502 bracelet or a dual tone version- see AI mock-ups attached. The gold helps add a bit of warmth to tie in with the dial but is it a bit much/too dressy for this supposedly 'tool', 'ranch hand' styled watch? All opinions welcome!

I’m probably with @wagudc on this but I don’t dislike the gold/steel - particularly since I, like pretty much everyone else on OF, have a pretty idiosyncratic approach to straps on watches.

So, whichever you enjoy more on the day - it’s only a matter of minutes to switch bracelets ….

Definitely keep the all-steel one. As for the two-tone bracelet, feel free to send it my way 😄

Thanks everyone who has commented. Seems like most of the momentum is towards all steel but not sure what to make of qazwsx1's comment - pretty sure he's 'taking the piss'. 😉. I did try a more subtle dual tone bracelet but it didn't fit the watch that well. And its a Seiko bracelet so not the 'correct' pairing. You guys reckon this 1502 bracelet from Ebay is real? Looks a little too unscratched to me....

Uncle Seiko's flat link bracelet for the Speedmaster Reduced is quite a good fit if you can't find a good Omega BoR.

That looks really good! Do you happen to know - is it as comfortable as a BOR? I've actually got very little experience wearing bracelets due to their tendency to pull arm hairs. Does the Uncle Seiko pull arm hairs?

Haha, you must be kidding. Who doesn't? You never know when you're going to need an extra 1502 or 1036.

It's very comfortable and it doesn't pull my arm hairs - but I'm not very hairy.

Why not get a new Omega BOR? You should be able to get one through an Omega Boutique. The bracelet is part number 3010. I believe that a pair of 511’s are included. Here’s mine:

I like it. Is it 511 or 512 end links that fits best? I'm now torn between the omega 3010 or an uncle straps us1035. @gbesq - How much was the 3010?

The 512 end links are better for the Ranchero. Sorry, but I don’t remember how much the 3010 costs.
