I am a brand new member and this is my first post. I have just purchased for a very reasonable price a Seamaster Rio 2016 Limited Edition Watch. I love it but see that some reviews are less than complimentary. What are members thoughts of this watch?

If you like it, it's all that matters. Reviews are negative because it was a lazy bezel-recoloring by Omega. For me, it gives me some rainbow Zenith vibes

Agreed . If you like it, wear it with love. Who cares? You are the one who's going to stare at it everyday. Pictures please. Post some shots of your watch and let us embrace it!

It’s got a nice dial and a colourful bezel. I missed out on one some time ago heavily discounted at an AD. It’s a nice watch with a pop of colour. As said above, if you are happy then that is all that mattters - we all have different preferences.

As others have said, I think most of the negativity towards this watch arises from the price and very little change (aside from colour) to the standard 2500D Seamaster Pros. It’s an outstanding watch. The 2500D is a very accurate and reliable movement (at least it has been for me), not to mention it allows for a very reasonably-sized watch case.

I like it, always have. It did rather unkindly receive the nickname of the LGBT edition on another less friendly forum (think Rainbow Flag), but that aside it has the advantage over the other SMPc models in that the dial waves are present and correct (or at least a version of waves base on a pavement motif).

Thanks for all your replies. I hadn’t even thought of the LGBT connection. It’s a lovely looking watch IMO, and adds to my rapidly growing collection of Omegas......

The color scheme reminds me more of a rasta theme. I love reggae music/culture so the watch looks great to me!

I believe the OP is talking about this one:

Ignore the reviews, the watch is solid as a rock, chronometer rated, where anywhere/everywhere. All that matters is if you love it, and you must since you bought it. For the record, I've always liked this one.
