First off, it's not ebony - if there are markers with inlaid, black material it will be onyx.

What intrigues me is whether Omega used the slot markers on watches sans lume like we see in in the OP and if so why the lume hands?

What I am in awe about is how people on this OF know so much about the intricacies of these time pieces. What fun to read and learn. THANK YOU!

Doctor's report yesterday: corrected 20/20 vision, normal pressure, no cataracts, no problems.

Mistaking lume for real wood grain wouldn't be so embarrassing if it weren't my own damn watch!
