As the sell-off continues, I am offering today my Omega Seamaster Professional GMT 300M 2538.20.00 aka the “Great White”.

This discontinued watch has something of a following as it combines some well-regarded features, including a stunning white dial with large diver’s lume markers and the Omega wave pattern, large sword hands, a Speedy-style bracelet and 24 hour GMT function with independent hour hand setting and chronometer movement.

This watch was fully serviced within the last 60 days by my watchmaker, Kelly Hunter in Portland, OR. There is a six month warranty on the service, the balance of which will be transferred with the watch.

At my request he sent the watch to Omega for an evaluation of the case finish, as I did not realize that the case was 100% brush finished at the factory. Omega returned the watch stating that the all brush finish is the original factory finish. The case shows very few signs of wear.

No box or papers.

I have a NOS Omega red box set - not for this watch originally but for a Moonwatch - that I will toss in. This type of red box set was also used for the Great White and other Seamaster references of the same period. Obviously not a correct collector set but attractive if, for example, one wanted to gift this watch to a non-WIS.
