·Omega Seamaster Ref. 2759 | Rare Black Honeycomb / Waffle Dial
Up for sale is an Omega Seamaster Ref. 2759-2. This vintage Seamaster features the rarer black honeycomb (waffle) dial paired with rose gold furniture.
I’ve owned this piece for a year, and it is a truly exceptional example of 1950s Omega design. My brother asked me to sell this on his behalf because it isn't getting the wrist time it deserves.
The Technical Specs
• Reference: 2759-2 SC
• Serial: 13,938,833 (Circa 1954)
• Movement: Manual Wind Caliber 420 (Clean, copper-colored gilt finish)
• Case: Stainless Steel "Beefy Lug" style
• Dimensions: ~35mm excluding crown | 18mm lug width
• Dial: Original Black Honeycomb/Waffle texture with applied rose gold arrow markers and 12-3-6-9 Arabic numerals.
• Hands: Original rose gold Dauphine handset.
• Crown: Correct signed Omega crown.
Condition Report
• Dial: The black honeycomb dial is in superb condition with deep, crisp texturing. Unlike many black dials from this era, it has not faded to "tropical" brown but remains a rich black that goes beautifully with the rose gold markers.
• Case: Excellent vintage condition. The lugs are thick with sharp, well-defined edges. No signs of overpolishing.
• Caseback: Correct snap-on "Waterproof" back. Interior stamps are clear and match the movement era.
• Movement: Running strong and winding smoothly. Reported service ~3 years ago; currently keeping time well within vintage expectations.
