Omega Seamaster Honeycomb

Hi everyone! I have found a beautiful (imo) honeycomb dialed seamaster but I'm doubting the legitimacy since the condition seems to be mint. First I was unsure about the order of the text Omega, seamaster and automatic but found some other watches with the same look:

https://www.bukowskis.com/sv/lots/1198915-omega-seamaster-wristwatch-36-mm

But here we have automatic before seamaster:

https://watchcharts.com/listing/551...aster-36mm-jumbo-steel-automatic-342-movement

Maybe both are correct?

Anyway, here are the available pics on the watch in question:

Kind regards,
No connie 66'

Mint? The case is a horribly worn mess.

The seller describes it as mint but you're right that it's not. To call it a horribly worn mess seems a tad exaggerated though. Sounds like you would rate the case a 2/10. Bidding already up to 900 dollars so I'm going to pass. Closing in on the Constellation price cathegory and this one would only be a consellation price anyway.

I think $900 is a very fair price for a jumbo SM with a nice honeycomb dial, even with the polished case. But I’m a sucker for honeycomb..

The case is not mint by a long way, but not horrible to me. The gold is coming off on the lug bottoms and the edges are soft, but the bezel is there and no heavy dings/ gouges. 80 micron gold capped is good. I think the nice dial offsets it.
Price is fair.
A bumper from the 50s is quite different from a 66 connie, but has its own charm.
Keep looking if you know what you want.

Pics of the same watch. The case is completely shot indeed. Nice dial and movement though!

Ok nope, unless you had a good case to swap it to. Still too much$$$.
I take back what I said about the case not being horrible.

Even with a very good case on hand its still way to expensive IMO, 2494 is not one of the most popular references in my experience. This is almost waffle constellation prices which is crazy

It's a 2657, 2494 is the center second equivalent, but I totally agree. Not sure if it's just the optimistic description by the seller, but even for a good gold-capped honeycomb 2657 I'd want to pay less.

That case is totally shot. Wow. It’s sort of amazing that someone continued to wear it.
