For posterity, it sold for 7,050 euros (approx. 7,835 USD). I agree with
@wouter van wijk in that there's just not enough in the photos and listing. Of course if there were good, clear photos taken in daylight it might have gone for several thousands more.
The prototype / Monoco story on these is an interesting angle. I know Omega created extracts calling these prototypes, but at minimum they made 151 of those (50 for Monoco, 1 for Jacques Cousteau, and 100 more for the public). To me that's no longer a prototype, it's a limited edition.
Add to that the murky numbering, and it becomes like the Speedmaster 125 or the 145.029's with unexplained numbers/codes. An interesting quirk, but I'm uncertain whether it adds any value.
