    NOW WITHDRAWN

    For sale is my Omega Seamaster GMT 50th Anniversary. Please see the photos.

    This has been a regular and bullet proof wearer for me for the last 3 years. It has been a regular part of WRUW whenever I've been on holiday or travelling.

    Selling because I just don't find myself wearing it very much any more. It's a great tool watch that is also collectible and it deserves to be used.

    Things you need to know are:

    * Ref 2234.50. This is the counterpart to the "Great White".
    * Cal 1128 automatic GMT movement.
    * Chronometer rated, as it's an Anniversary model.
    * Waterproof to 300M.
    * 41mm case size.
    * Classic design cues include sword hands, lollipop second hand, classic big triangle Seamaster 300 dial styling, lyre style lugs (brushed finish on sides, polished finish on lyre lines).
    * Wave pattern on dial.
    * Screw down crown, no annoying helium valve.
    * Luminova still works well.
    * Sapphire crystal with Anti-Reflective coating. Very legible underwater.
    * Date can be quick set by forwarding of hour hand.
    * Serial no 6034xxxx dates this watch to 1999, the first year of the 50th Anniversary series.
    * The bracelet style was only present in the first couple of years of this model, before it was switched to the modern style clasp.
    * Last service was in November 2012 by STS. All invoices are included. Another service shouldn't be needed until 2017. Seals should be checked or replaced if you intend to take it underwater.
    * Box, instructions and card holder included. Cards were not present when I bought it.

    Omega info is here: http://www.omegawatches.com/collection/seamaster/300-m-gmt/22345000

    Known defects are:
    * The Omega symbol on the clasp has been worn down by a previous bracelet polish.
    * A small amount of AR coating has come off near the Seamaster text at the base of the dial. It was not possible to capture it in the photos and is not usually noticeable on the wrist.
    * There is a tiny bit of black paint missing on the bezel at the 23 marker. It is visible in the photos and not usually noticeable on the wrist.

    Movement pics are not available because I cannot pressure test or ensure water tightness if I open it. It is currently water tight to Omega / STS specifications, subject to checking of the seals. The watch was last underwater 9 months ago and has not been opened since the STS service in Nov 2012.

    References are available from many long standing forum members if required.

    Asking for £1350 net to me.

    Postage and insurance to be agreed depending on location. PayPal is ok by prior arrangement, but I may require better security from recent or low post count members.

    Any questions, please PM me.

    Thanks
    Warren
