I received this beautiful Omega Seamaster today. The dial is original glit black dial and in untouched condition. Crown original Omega, bracelet flex Omega 1122 with reference 558 and original vintage red Omega box. Cal.268. Case diameter without crown 35.5 36.

I would like to get your thoughts on this Omega. What do you think?

Appears that the lume is missing from the hands and a rather odd bracelet choice designed for a different watch.

Can't make any other observations without better photos but generally appears to be a nice watch.

Yes, the bracelet is different. Do you think it looks good?

I like the watch, but not the bracelet. If it were me, I'd put it on a leather strap.

The watch will look much better on a black leather strap, or a Beads of rice bracelet, IMO.

This beauty sir. Yeah, if I find that bracelet, maybe I can buy it or trade it for my Flex. Of course, people who prefer the Flex are few.

What’s the reference? Wondering if the crown is correct.
I haven't received the watch yet. The crown is original Omega but I don't think it belongs to this model but it looks compatible. I'll share the back cover photo here today

Does having a different original Omega crown cause any problems?

No issues if it’s well fitted. Remembering to be careful with water and not use your watch nearby, of course.

It’s more a matter of originality. Many on this forum collect Omegas, and having the watch as close to when it left the factory is part of the game.

Finding an original crown for this reference is largely doable I suppose, if you wish to do so at some point. With the reference in the case back, it will be easy to know which crown is original.

But otherwise congrats on the find. Looks great. And I concur with the other on a BoR or strap.

I did some research on the internet and found different crowns for the same model. But today, when I know the exact reference. I will write here again. You are absolutely right about authenticity. The most important thing for me is that the dial is original. The top is also original and looks nice, but I'm still going to look at it. About the bracelet, I wonder if this model was released with a leather strap. It was probably released with a leather strap.

Thnx sir. Yeah, looks like I'm gonna have to get rid of this strap. Or if I find an Admiralty series Omega and match it with him, I will have a perfect combination. It would be a valuable Omega.

Don’t worry too much about leather strap originality though - you don’t want to wear a nice watch on a 70 year old strap which is stiff and could break.

There are plenty of threads on this forum for strap recommendations. You have for all pockets!
