    Hi there,

I got some photos of this watch: Omega Seamaster Deville Cal. 563 from a local seller.
I would like to have it in my collection but still wonder if it is a franken watch.
It seems that the dial has been repainted, the "swiss made" disappeared,
there is no Seamaster hippocampus logo.

I appreciate receiving your comments on the watch.
About price: 900US$ is overpriced ?

The dial is definitely refinished. Not worth the money even if it's a solid gold case (which I doubt).

Is that dial even meant for that case? Its got a gutter you could lose a cat down around it

The 563 movement is correct for this KM6610 case, which is from the US collection and it is not uncommon to see this style without the hippocampus. I have owned a few examples with the same case. The main concern here is the dial. It is obviously refinished and quite possibly not original to the watch. At 900$ I would think its overpriced.

Yes, the gap is so you can slide the ring that clamps the movement securely in the case....
