Hi there,

i need some help, sourcing a good Seamaster Automatic Day Date (Ref.: 166 0216) dial.

I checked Chrono24, ebay and catawiki without any luck. I would also go aftermarket if the quality is acceptable.

Thanks!

I don’t know this model, so I’m just talking out loud here. Is the date wheel discoloured or is that how it’s supposed to look? If you do find a new dial, then the date wheel and the discoloured hands will stand out as the next things to fix I’d imagine. Has it been serviced and otherwise it is good to go? Is there sentimental value here, otherwise this might get more expensive than you’d like. Just my $0.02

Edit, others will know much more on this. Good luck 👍

You might like yours to look like mine? I see two options for you. Live with it as is, or find a better one. Best of luck.

It is more like a project watch. I have a spare case, bracelet and movement. Now i want to build a second seamaster day date with the old inferior parts and my watch with sourced new or good preserved parts. I found everything except for the dial...

I have re-read this post of yours several times. Maybe I’m a bit thick, but I have NO idea what you are trying to accomplish. Taking parts from a watch you are not satisfied with, and using them on another watch? Good luck finding a good (correct) dial at a price that would make your project feasible!

Putting a better dial on your watch will not fix it. The hand set are a bigger problem.

How long have you been looking for a dial ?
