I purchased my Seamaster in Vienna Austria in April 1980. I had a choice to purchase a Rolex DateJust or this one. I went for the Omega. An amazing watch.

A few years ago, I took the watch to our local Omega Dealer for servicing. I asked him to change the crystal as it looked all cracked. When I got the watch back, I noticed that the crystal with all the cracks in it. He mentioned to me that the crystal was in good condition. The cracks were due to “spider web” cracks developed on the dial due to aging. He told me that my watch was a unique and one of a kind Omega Seamaster in the world as the spider web design by nature is unique and no two watches can have the same patterns!

Wow! Some day My Omega will have a good collector’s value! 92F0426E-F286-4B52-A9DF-E2B9E46A9DE1.jpeg F858D5AC-C1F4-4FD9-A45F-18815D0B06FB.jpeg D44A61CD-9357-44AF-A99A-5DBB157172D6.png

    Hello, nice watch!

Could you please give the dimensions of the female stem and the crown?
I have one of this and I lost the crown :(

    Thank you

A lovely watch I just got one today and was worrying about the state of the crystal as they weren't scratches. Glad Icame across your post, thank you not worried now.

Really? A damaged dial makes it a “ one of a kind collectors watch”? It may be cool to some, but to me that makes it a “run of the mill beater” to me.

Not uncommon for the coloured dials of this era. Here are my three Constellation 168.017s with the same crazing IMG_0861.jpeg 18825010-tlto8l8n7ybxpp6864i57gjo-Zoom.jpg s-l1600.jpg :
