    good day gentleman, i just found out a omega seamaster cosmic 2000 on ebay, could somebody give me some advise should i buy it or not? i never own an vintage watches and i like this one. thank you

    ebay seller has described dial as repainted, limits value to collectors, but fine for use as an occasional wearer

    I'd also say it's over-priced. I paid just under US$ 300 for the example in the "Before" pics in this thread:

    When I took it in for service, the watchmaker was genuinely surprised/impressed with the hands and dial (so these were kept), and he said the movement was in much better condition than he usually sees. The case wasn't so good and some marks remain post-service.

    So, I'd say if you could get a couple of hundred knocked off, it might be worth considering that example you have your eye on...

    These are common and due to their pretty good water resistance most have survived well, I agree its on the high side.
