Why do some Seamaster Planet Ocean bands have Professional on the clasp whilst others don’t.
Is this an indication of fake or simply a different model by omega?

 

Not at all an indication of fake. The previous models of the Seamster Professional 2254, for example had the words 'Professional' on the face and clasp. The newer version the Seamster Professional 300m Co-axial only has the professional on the face, the clasp simply states 'Omega'

There was a lot of consternation over the removing of it from the clasp but they did.

It really depends on the model you are looking at.
