For sale is my Seamaster 168.024 chronometer on a BOR bracelet. The watch is the “Officially Certified” chronometer version of the classic 166.010 and is in excellent working order. I just had the previous cyclops crystal replaced with a period-correct crystal, though I’m not convinced that the cyclops was incorrect for this reference, just because I’ve seen so many of them with a cyclops. Anyway, I’ll include the cyclops crystal along with the watch in this sale.

The watch has a few dings that I’ve tried to document in these photos. I basically cannot see them at all unless I use a loupe or take photos. If you want a specific shot, just let me know.

There’s been a fair amount of discussion about 166.010/168.024 model Seamaster watches on these forums. I first bought one just because I had a BOR bracelet I had mistakenly acquired for a different watch. The timeless sleekness of this model was apparent immediately and it remains my favorite. It’s dressy and cool enough to wear with a suit while still presenting an all-business tool-watch look for when you’re banging around with your motorcycle gang or whatever.

I am asking US$1050 plus shipping (around $30 wherever Japan Post EMS delivers) for this watch. I can accept PayPal or Wise transfers as well as a direct bank transfer in USD or JPY. Shipping times vary wildly depending on where you are in the world—USA and Europe generally don’t take long, but Canada and Oceania are a different story. I’ve had some success speeding things up by going through an intermediary in the US.

I have a few testimonials on this site and unanimous accolades on Japan’s Yahoo! Auctions.

The bracelet on this watch is the 8220 with #11 endlinks pictured below. Some of the photos above show a slightly different bracelet (but the same endlinks).
