Hello, i bought this Seamaster at eBay, the nice looking dail and the lugs realy spoke to me, i looked at the dail closely and it seems like not bin tampert with or is it? At the side are markings of case opening but ok for that age, it runs beautyfull in pace with my modern Seiko presage , any commands are welkom, thanks Peter
Based on the minute markers not lining up with the hour markers in several places, I'm pretty sure it's a redial.
Hi Peter, in the end the question is if you like the watch or not. You seem to like it so its OK! I tend to not liking it because to trained eye (I hope I have one after two years) it doesn't look attractive because the repainting was done in an obvious and not very professional way. Second and hour hand are too long compared to the indices. Crown is wrong I think. The lugs are uncommen, that's a plus of course, the good working condition is another plus. So enjoy your watch, if you like you can always ask before buying next time, you know that! Cheers and greetings to the Netherlands
Thanks for the reply, i must say that after the info i still like the watch i didn't pay a large amount for it. but ofcorse a redail makes it less Nice and the wrong hands i didn't realise, i think i use it as a 'daily driver' to keep my other omegas in better condition. Thanks for the offer for a preview i will do on my next buy. Grt Peter
After wearing it a while i sold it, i dont want to end up with many watches, the few i own should be original, less is more
I see you sold it but just to be clear, when he says this, it doesn't mean the hands are necessarily wrong. The minute track is more likely to be in the wrong place, in my opinion. Tom
Agree on that, that's why I chose the term "compared to" Either the hands or the indices but the current state is wrong
