If it's less than $300 I would take chance on it. Looks like it might be a 14700 or similar. if so, that would imply a date no earlier than 1960.
I've been told, and some will agree, that you make sure your case and dial are in good condition, and anything else can be fixed. What I can see of the case looks rather good and the dial might be acceptable. That yellowing is likely the lacquer on the dial degrading but that might not bother you. A scratched crystal makes judging the dial more difficult.
But you might have a chance to get into a watch that will be quite nice when you're done with it.
