I have these two seamasters

Would the bracelet from the older model be good fit for the newer one?
Both 20mm lug width
Thanks so much

Lovely watches. I think there is a tread or two on this topic already, or you can try swapping them yourself.

I do not believe they will work, because the end-link connection changed -- the old one used wings above the lug, while the new one is wingless and uses notches on the end to line up. Omega has moved this system with most bracelets now. The lugs on the new one are thicker, so I doubt the old one will fit.

But you can try if you want. Another option is to use one of the aftermarket bracelets from Uncle Seiko and Forstner that were designed for the Speedmaster -- Uncle Seiko shows many of them fitting on the new Seamasters with some adjustment to the end links.

If you aren't comfortable doing the adjustment, any watchmaker should be able to do it for a nominal fee.

If you purchase the correct Uncle Seiko bracelet, it will fit your watch without any modification required, at least in my case. I did buy mine used, though. I think that general warning is for watches that the individual bracelet wasn't necessarily made for but that customers report can work. Both Forstner and Uncle Seiko offer bracelets for generations of Seamaster and Speedmaster so just be sure your purchasing a bracelet for your generation of watch.

I went with the Uncle Seiko 1450 and like it. May try the 1479, too. It definitely feels like a lighter bracelet but it's not out of place and feels befitting. I like the original Bond bracelet a lot but this bracelet tones my green Seamaster down a bit, less formal or something. I'm also looking at the Strapcode Hexad III.

Thanks for the help
I may try the 1450 too, the Forster also seems like a good option.

The Forstner bracelet is good, too. I wanted one without the spring links and the Uncle Seiko showed up used for a good price. Forstner is releasing a 1450 without spring links, I think, and the clasp options are nice.

That looks sharp.

Lately, I've been wearing my green Seamaster on a Forstner Contemporary Flat Link but I ditched the milled two-button clasp (which was very nice) and converted to a pressed clasp.
