Hi wonderful Omega aficionados,

I have purchased this watch online and will certainly have more information when it arrives and I will post further then I just wanted to see if anyones come across one before. Haven't been able to find anything remotely similar online.

Many thanks!

I've never seen anything quite like that before. Looks like a very polished Seamaster Ref. 166.020 with an aftermarket bezel. Could also completely be a non-original case or "Franken." Interested to see more photos to figure out what you have.

If this was an auction. Did you get the reference number on the case back? You can then search on the case.

This is referred to as a coin edge bezel as opposed to a fluted bezel

Couldn't find any case like that in a quick search.

Hi guys,

I am told it has an Omega signed crown which matches the face as you can see which makes me think that the case is original.
I will send details as soon as the watch arrives. Looking forward to solving it. Hoping not a "Franken"

Will be interesting to see.

Is the hardware inside original. Heartbreaking.

That mysterious „bezel“ is called „coin edge bezel“ which I have never ever seen on a omega seamaster before. Look how the movement sits in the case, it does not fit properly. This is for sure a non omega-seamaster case....most likely not an omega case at all. Sorry for the bad news :/

It‘s an omega cal. 1012, which looks legit to me. But I would never trust the insides of a franken watch....but yes, on the pictures you‘ve provided it looks fine (with regards to it beeing a original omega caliber).
