The project watches clear out continues, with this Omega Seamster Automatic reference 165.067, powered by a cal 552 automatic no-date movement.

I picked this up in 2023 (along with a few [more than a few] other watches), as a project, but as mentioned in previous recent for sale threads, I'm making peace with the fact that these projects sit in my safe for years untouched and that I should let them back out into the wild sooner, rather than later.

    So, on to this Seamaster.

It winds a little (either by crown or rotor), runs for anywhere between 10 seconds and 5 minutes, and then stops - so consider it very much in need of a service.

It will also need a crystal, as the one fitted has a crack in it.

There are watchmaker service marks scratched onto the inside of the case back, but from the black tar of the melted gasket, I think it's safe to assume that this was so long ago, that it no longer matters.

A serial number of 2887200 puts the production of the movement into 1969.

The dial is a lovely and hard to photography sparkle dial, which under a loupe is showing to be clear and free from any marks of the areas visible through the crystal - the crystal on the other hand is both cracked and, I believe the technical term is "scratched to buggery".

I've taken lots of pictures in natural light, with a very high resolution SLR, and they have not been retouched in any way - so please take a look at them and assess the cosmetic condition of the watch for yourself - I would say that it is used, honest and ready to be given a fresh chance of life with a friendly watch collector.

A solid candidate for either a full refinish/resto, or just a service and a new crystal.

@dsio wrote a great guide to these odd little Seamasters, which can be found here: https://stories.omegaforums.net/166-067-165-067-seamaster-born-without-a-bezel/

Watch is in the UK (London).

Asking £425 plus shipping - which I think is fair, but am open to offers on.
