Hello! Before proceeding buying this watch, I'd like to double check with the community if you think everything looks good. Which is the value in your opinion?

Are you able to upload larger resolution photos? Everything here is much too small to see fine detail.

Personally, I am expecting to see a coat hanger S in Seamaster as well as dauphine/alpha hands. Their absence here makes me concerned for originality. Perhaps what you could have are service replacements, but it's hard to tell without better quality photos.

Hi @stormysky10, thanks for your reply! Are these photos any better? I give you more context: this will be my first vintage watch, my goal is to have a consistent original watch, ready to be wear 馃榾 Thanks again for your help! In the case you consider this original, are you able to give me a rough value estimation? Thanks

The new photos are bigger resolution, but I think you also want some in different lighting -- maybe natural lighting.

If it were me, I'd be trying to look at other 14701s to see if they matched with the example I was evaluating. In this situation I don't see any with the same dial and hands seen here, so I'd be staying away. The 14701 should also have some nice beveled lugs. This case is too polished for my tastes.

Please enclude the asking price

Hands are wrong, they have lume and the dial hasn't.

I have daubts that the hands are correct for that reference at all, same doubts about the crown.

Case is indeed quite polished

Yes I have the same doubt as well regarding the hands. I'm not finding any photos of this reference with these hands.

Well thank you all very much for the support!

I would suggest following the recommended Omega eBay thread and also scanning through the watches offered in the private sales listings on the forum. Cheap vintage watches that beginners find listed online are usually junk that has been sitting unsold for overpriced because they are flawed, expensive, or both. If you buy a watch on eBay that was recommended on the forum, at least you know that someone vetted the watch superficially, although it may still need some expensive restoration when you receive it.
