I stopped in at a local Omega AD and found a new Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra XXL 49.2MM. Its a big watch, but I'm 6'4 240+ lbs, so fits nice for my size + frame.

The AD is asking for 3,700 out the door. Normally, I wouldn't pose the question on here, but since its last years model and not to be made for 2012 its hard to find any good 'data'. I'm not sure if this is a 'good' deal?

Anyone have any thoughts? Any ideas if I pull the trigger on it that I will walk out on the street owning a nice 1,999 Valued Omega?

That seems a bit high, is this a pre-owned model or new in box?

 

If it's the caliber 8500 version (which is what your picture shows) then it's a decent price for a brand new piece. If it's a leftover caliber 2500 version then it's way too high.

 

Thanks. I let that one go. Its still probably at the AD, but fell in love with the vintage speedy my Dad got, so probably wont be picking one of those up and will be hunting for a Speedmaster instead.

That's because watch nerds like us buy pre-owned watches and we know that the Unitas 649x isn't so great of a movement.
