    Dear Enthusiasts,

This watch interest is new for me, only been 3 years and I'm now at the stage or trying to make well calculated purchases at a lower frequency. I have two omegas: Speedmaster Pro hesalite and a Seamaster electric blue sword hands. Both phenomenal; both I'm keeping forever if I can.

I was drawn to the aqua terra as my natural 3rd to complete an awesome trio. I've been thinking and drawn to the blue datejust for a while; but I frankly find the Aqua terra way more youthful and higher tech. Given all my Omegas have been keepers thus far I am itching for the purchase.

I have 3 models I am considering (green didn't like not so rich; and same to the slate blue with lighter colour seconds hands). I am talking of the latest Aqua terras 2017 (though if I can get a good deal on the 2nd gen Skyfall with framed window blue wouldn't mind at all).

    1) 220.10.41.21.03.004 (pure classic rich blue, skyfalls successor)
    2) 220.10.41.21.03.001 (same as above, but with light blue highlights...more casual but less serious, I can get a decent deal on this as new $3700 usd)
    3) 220.10.41.21.06.001 (Initially the underdog I was never considering but it surprised me in person).

I went to the Omega Boutique in Sydney today. I was going for the blue; and likely the 2nd one the .001 (because I found a great deal on that one too). Here are the photos, just wanted your opinion guys highly appreciated.

My collection other than omega is: GS Snowflake; Nomos Tangente; Sarx045 (like skyfall aqua terra in a blue green colour); Seik Tuna; SBDC053; Samurai; Oris aquis green; Sarb017.

I took the SARX047 and put it there for comparison, the omegas better be richer colour for that price :)

    Regards to all,

May I add, as I said the Green wasn't for me, nice but subdued non-rich colour. The black whilst nice and rich was less legible than my speedie and hence don't see the point.

You can't go wrong with an Aqua Terra, but don't discount a nice example from their back catalogue either.

I love my Aqua Terra I went for the black on leather, I have other blue watches and silver. I would say choose the one that appeals to you, I liked the green in photos but did nothing on my wrist.

For me it would have to be the classic blue Skyfall successor (or the one with the light blue highlights for the sportier alternative) but seeing as you already have an electric blue seamaster i’d go for that grey dial with blue hour markers - it looks surprisingly good, and I’d have the centre links brushed for a more tool watch under the radar look. That would make a nice three watch Omega collection, classic speedy, electric blue seamaster and grey aqua terra. I’m in a similar position, have the hesalite speedy since 2019, just acquired a blue 2531.50 seamaster. Always desired the Skyfall in 38mm but they are just getting too expensive. I’m limited to the 38mm watches cause the 41mm AT is just too big on me.

I really like the 06.001. Had that pattern been available in the 38mm size I would have had a more difficult time making my choice ( I went with blue).

I have a small wrist and I like blue so nothing beats the Skyfall AT 38.5mm

Love it. This is the watch that I want - I too have small wrists and that date frame makes the watch (compared to the next gen with no frame). Never seen the date window frame reflect black like that!

I really do think the blue is the best of the colors. And it's the ultimate watch to own if you could only have a single watch, in my opinion.

I’d go for the blue AT. For some reason the steel dialled AT never appealed to me - too much of the same colour between bracelet, case and dial. For trio of Omega’s I’ve always thought a speedy, SMP and Globemaster would be a perfect combination. Have you considered the Globemaster? This gives you icons from each of Omega’s family of watches.

I like the grey. The blue applied logo is absolutely incredible.

Thanks to you all for the replies. Incredible pieces here thanks for the uploaded pics,

I love the 2nd Gen Skyfall; but in my nature I hate being ripped off! Currently this piece if found grey market online, no warranty is anywhere between same price as the new blue; and up to 10% higher in price. Whilst the skyfall is almost perfect, one argument for the new one is its less simple.

I like just to say given I've been considering the 126300 datejust before this for a while; both Aqua Terra and DJ blue are very nice. Even though the DJ41 blue is simple and classic, it manages somehow to have more going on and more classic look than the new blue AT (thats blue with smooth bezel and jubilee the same one Joe Biden wore after being sworn in haha) and that's what's holding me from current blue AT to be honest. It's just my opinion.

As for Grey, on a DJ definitely the 2nd most popular colour (after blue offcourse). and O Man that Aqua Terra in Grey just destroys its DJ counterpart. With Grey dial watches I've bought a few in the past, first Orient bambino grey, fantastic yet got boring and legibility was really bad. Then I got an Oris Propilot Grey phenomenal piece when low light, go outdoors or in sun and you see how pale and lacking character that colour is. Sold it. I was close to getting a DJ 126300 in Grey just because a great deal came up but was afraid of the same issues. But this Omega AT Grey seems to have fixed the issues.

I think the new Aqua terra is definitely busier than before, horizontal teak lines varying depths, then you have sunburst dial too, and hence the highlights of the light blue seems for me a little busy. But still sexy haha

Tough choices will keep weighing it in. I think for Grey the AT destroys the DJ and I'm highly considering it.

For Blue, I prefer the Skyfall or the current DJ 126300 over the current AT. Maybe skyfall is high in prices as I have been very OCD about only getting the version with the framed date window.

I think Omega has hit a home run with the Grey because it managed to make it more Legible, different to any other Grey watch in the market that I know of and made the AT a lot more sporty whereas classic colours esp dark tend to make it more a simple but quality 3 hander in my view.

Thanks to you all :) I think and feel that soon I will go for the Grey AT just waiting for a deal. But I love all your Blue ones wear them in good health

I just want to say to anyone reading this, go to a Boutique first before choosing, because chances are the top two choices you will then consider will change upon seeing them in person. Best of luck to all.

Blue, but not the new horizontal line blue, the vertical line blue. Anytime, every time

I love the way the blued markers catch the light on the gray AT. It looks ok in photos, but it is very nice in person. I think I like it better on the rubber strap though - the bracelet makes the watch a little too monochromatic, gray on gray, etc.

Did someone say blue AT? I think any Seamaster in blue looks great, especially the AT 2503.80!

Can't got wrong with an Aqua Terra imho. I have the black one with the horizontal teak pattern and I absolutely love it. Can be dressed up or down and it really goes everywhere. Choose the color that you like most and that fits your style, etc. best. Blue is a no-brainer imho, it just looks incredibly good. Personally I really liked the green dial - it does look so much better in the metal than it does on pictures. Anyway, good luck with your choice!
