Omega Seamaster 600 cal 601.
It's an extreme fade, but I actually kind of like the effect.

Cell phone camera makes the dial look kind of charcoal grey, but in the flesh it's more of a coffee brown.

Would be nice if the dial printing had remained a little more distinct, but it is what it is...

These textured, grey dial 600’s aren’t that common and they often exhibit this degradation.

personally it’s straying very close to knackered, especially on the first picture, but it may be better in the flesh and given these are hard to find, it could be acceptable if very cheap.

It’s too much for me. However it’s your watch, wear it if you like it, nobody will care about whats on your wrist generally 😉

Way too far gone for my liking.

Buy only with a discount and certainly not with a premium.

Every restoration deteriorates IMO the whole "bundle" . It s the "gray aera" between damage and patina. Pity its a dress watch...

Not ruined. I'd buy it but would spend much. It's a $300 watch in my opinion.

I understand why you might find it fun to wear, but as mentioned above, the value is low.

I like it. I call this a Wabi-Sabi watch. This is a Zen Buddhist term, underlining the beauty of aging.

I think that's about right 😀

I learned a new one today, too;

It wasn't many years ago when that kind of dial would consign the watch to the junk pile, now there is a market for them. It is what it is. If the OP likes it that is all that matters, but the market value isn't very high.
