I'm looking to buy this vintage seamaster with a 267 movement. I would really appreciate members thoughts in the dial and movement. Is the watch genuine ?

Thankyou Padders your advice is much appreciated. Is it common for these watches to be redialled and does it effect the value much ?

Yes it’s pretty common and yes it has a big effect on value. Is this something you just bought or are you just considering it?

I actually bought it on ebay. Was considering sending back but guess its a lesson learnt the hard way. Joining the forum post purchase was my mistake

Look at it this way, if you like it and the price was right there is no harm but if you paid similar money to what the originals go for then you will take a big bath if you come to resell it. Collectors will run a mile, someone who likes the look might buy it.

Did the seller say the dial was refurbished or renovated? If so you don’t really have grounds to return it, though I am sure if you insist eBay would side with you.

Good advice. I do like the look of it....so I guess I'll wear it occasionally but put it down to experience thanks again
