    Hello guys,

I am really happy to be a new member of this community, but i am also really sad about one thing i discovered yesterday buy opening my Omega Seamaster box.

Recently, 2 monthes ago, I bought an Omega Seamaster with rubber band to an AD from the city I live. Everything was fine until today.

Like every morning, I opened the box, and took my watch to wear it on, and I saw this :
    132033208_237069881109836_4483327753234782331_n.jpg 132430841_2831098730492106_325177739275205553_n.jpg 132018638_1072270609906972_8573954737246947759_n.jpg

I really don't understand, I have never hit my Omega on something, I am always really carefull with hit. I am not brutal or anything, and I would remember if I would have done something that would have break the rubber band like this.

Did someone have seen something similar ? Do you think guys I can use the warranty for this ? I am really confused right now, I am trying to think about every scenario possible but in none of them I can imagine a situation where I could have done this.

Thank you for your help guys,

    Have a nice day.

That’s the major downside of a rubber strap. If you have a minor cut, it can slowly spread and destroy it within a dozen wears. Claim warranty on it.

You got me at “rubber band”.

Thats very unlucky as I wear mine daily and cant see any cuts on it. Take it back to AD and get them to replace strap. 20201007_155957.jpg

    Hello guys,

Thank you for yours answers ! I saw some great rubber band around here !

As you recommanded it, i went to my AD today. As i expected, they also have never seen that before, but glady they did not ask questions and they ordered a new rubber strap for free. They did not even ask for the warranty or anything.

I am really happy about that, I was so worried about facing the usual customer service who ask so many questions and search a reason to not have to pay anything.

    Thank you for your help.

Great news, and glad you've resolved it so speedily. I had a similar issue with an expensive torn strap (not with an Omega) and my AD was able to bring in a replacement for free also. One reason among many that I appreciate an AD purchase where possible.

    Hi,

Really nice choice. I really like the remind of the red color from the red of the "Seamaster" and the red/orange bands on the strap.

Today i have a rubber strap and a nato strap which remind the Seamaster 007.

Beautiful and well balanced grey/black nato. Stylish and practical.
I think about getting same but red/black. example from omega www:
