Need help!. Can't decide between these beauties. Which one to keep out of the present model and the outgoing model of Omega seamaster 300m.

Waves all the way.

Personally though, I would sell both and go real SMP. That is to say 2531, 2254 or similar. Omega have yet to better the original IMO. They added supposed sophistication with ceramic bezels and in house movements but they also added girth. An original is only 11mm deep, the later ones more like 13-14mm. I know which feels better on the wrist...

Just a matter of personal taste... I would keep both of them if you can! If you need the money, I would sell the previous version. The new one is top 👍

I don't care for the waves. I like the solid dial much better. Having said that, I own the older version and would never look at another!

(not my pic, I'm not a good photographer!)

I used to like the old one more but the waves have really grown on me. Both are great either way!

That is a bit tough. I like the current one because i like the date being at 6 o'clock because it is semi invisible in that you only really see it when you are looking for it(to see the date) the rest of the time it blends in.

However it seems that on the current Seamaster the "wort" (aka the He valve) is twice as big as the previous model's wort.

I think it looks more balanced with the date at 6 o'clock rather than 3 o'clock. Also love the fact that there's no frame on the date display it looks seamless with the rest of the dial. They're both beautiful watches though, what a difficult (but lovely) choice you have to make!!

SMPc! It has a better looking bezel, a less prominent HEV, thinner profile, and the best hippocampus case back. It also doesn’t have the unsightly interrupted minute track.

I think the dial on the wave is much more symmetrical. Date at 6 and the added "10" on the bezel go a long way, IMO, to balance the dial.

I sold my gloss dial back in August once I picked up the blue wave dial Bc I just stopped wearing it. But my 2254 gets equal wrist time. I say keep the new but go with your gut

I had the Blue wave bought it few weeks ago loved the colours and especially the dial and bezel but just too thick and the HE value stuck out too much I ended up selling it yesterday.

1 regret I had the black SMPc black ceramic sold it to a forum member who sold it on wish I never had as it was just a better watch for me.

I never noticed until now that the new bezel has the "10" while the old one does not 😲
