You are very good at adding € to your valuation due to it being an early reference, but you don't seem very good at removing € from your valuation due to the dark unattractive lume plots.

I'm sure if you did that and were more realistic with what you want for it you would have already sold it......but maybe with all this pimping of the watch here ( sorry, did I say pimping? Silly me  I of course meant "Making known" ) you will sell it soon anyway.....but I still doubt it will be for your new price of $10K

Why do we continue to engage ourselves with a Mr. Know-it-All with bad manners?
My Dad taught me to never get in a pissin' contest with a a skunk. Really good advise!

well this whole thread does stink... You pretend to not know much about the watch, yet every time someone says anything remotely less then positive about the watch/ valuation you have responses that indicate you actually do know quite a bit. It is hard to really believe this thread is about you seeking info versus trying to drum up interest.

I wish you luck with your sale, and since you do not need to sell it in a hurry perhaps at some point someone will pay your price. But it is likely it will not be someone from OF who knows a bit about Seamasters and has seen many examples for sale here. 'Rare' does not mean top dollar -- that comes down to condition..

    Let's switch back to English.

A couple of things: people buying this don't care about the history or how you got it unless you share it and it's interesting to the buyer (for example military or owned by someone famous, if it was your grandfather or your uncle nobody except you cares). No one called you a skunk, it's a metaphor. You obviously can set any price, but if you ask opinions on a forum where the highest experts roam, you are going to get informed opinions. Lastly, the only reason to introduce the watch on the forum after it's already for sale is advertising (which is also unnecessary since as you've seen everyone interested already knew about it), people here have been doing this for decades, these tricks are pretty basic.

You are asking for opinions but not accepting debate.

If you list it at .99 it will not sell for that it will reach market value. This has been pointed out many times. Also the eBay fees you mention are not bad compared to most sales methods so this all leads to only one conclusion - you're trying to sell it here and avoid commission and the 200 post rule. Looks likely The eBay bid was a shill.
Please no one bank wire any money unless you like to gamble.

Is this guy for real? Perhaps, he is interviewing for a job in Washington, D.C., in the diplomatic corps.

The best way, as you don't seems to be in the hurry, would have been to contribute to this forum...learn... Debate... Reach slowly but surely the 200 post and then put it for sale...
During this laps you will have certainly learned and understood the current market price...

If you are going to keep it, you should know what "it" actually is.
It's not a 165.024-63 (Title of Thread, and you had company from some learned members)
    It's not a 165025-63 (Your intial Post)
It is a 165024-63 (Look at your caseback:D)
