hi everyone, i m Jean and i have a question for the amazing and knowledgeable community here.
I want to buy a Seamaster 300 165024, everything seems pretty legit, with an extract of the archives and apparently close to original watch, but the caseback is written 155024 rather than 165024 and i cannot find any infos on that.
I ve seen the watch myself and a watch maker too, and certified that the watch is genuine, tho i just notice this detail and it made me curious.
It dosent even seem to be a fake caseback, as i guess forgers would have just try to imitate rather than innovate, but i m curious on what you guys might think. Thanks a lot for your thoughts.

I think it says 165.024. Sometimes reflections can fool you.

Look at the hard edges on the 5 compared to the soft edges on the previous number, 6.

The 5s and 6s from roughly that era often looked remarkably similar. For a second, the same issue confused me when I bought a 2577 a while ago that was advertised as a 2677 with this picture of the case back:

Looking closely, it is actually a 2577, a 2677 doesn’t exist.

So, yeah, +1 on this being a correct 165.024 case back. 😀

I don't believe that 155.024 is a valid number, so it's a 6...
