My local watchmaker is trying to source this spring without the shipping costs from Switzerland, which apparently costs as much as the spring. Anyone happen to have a P/N 129STZ001336 bezel spring for an Omega reference 233.20.41.21.01.001?
I'm in the US. There are no independent authorized Omega service techs within normal driving distances of my home. I typically send my watches to Omega for the regular service, but this watch is not in need of anything except the bezel spring. My local watchmaker is having trouble sourcing it, and actually modified my broken spring by adding a new tab as a stopgap. I want to fix it properly. It's frustrating, and I don't want to send it to Omega for 4 months to get the bezel spring replaced.
I would contact Nesbit's in Seattle. They likely will replace the spring without a full service. Downside is you have to send your watch away but if you talk with them ahead of time, they might be able to prioritize it since it's such a small job. They're nice folks and a family-owned business. I've been quite happy with their work so far.
I may have to do that. I’m sour on service at the moment. I just got a watch back from Omega and noticed the bezel was misaligned. Then I noticed a loose link, and on inspection found a broken pin and missing collar (tube). That made me look closer and I found a crushed pin. They clearly did not disassemble & service the bracelet, despite having it for over 3 months. Omega has offered a FedEx label so I can send it to them - again.
I seem to recall this spring can be "bodged". It may have been on Nick Hacko's site ? For the life of me I can't remember the details but it was not difficult. Then again he may have been talking Rolex. Best of luck.
My local watchmaker already ”bodged” my click spring. It works, but has a lot of play. I’m just trying to make it right.
