    Hey there,
Today I want to show you a nice vintage watch from my collection (which is mostly Rolex - but I get more and more into Omega :))...:
It is a rare 165.002 with a very very similiar dial compared to SM300...
It has a calibre 552 so the same one that runs in the SM300.
Watch is from 1965, came from the original owner and seems unpolished to me. Tried to get most of the massive wrist cheese off - but there's still some on the case... Will get that cleaned (ultrasonic) by my watchmaker...
Dial is in very good condition - all the marks you can see are on the plexi. Will get that polished soon :)
Hands seem in original condition as well I'd say.

It runs great - and I love wearing it!
    What do you think?
Was watching through old omega price lists from 1962-1967... but did not find a 165.002 with that dial. Was it some kind of military watch?
Any one got some more informations on this watch?
    Thank you!
    Hope pictures do it justice!!

I can't comment from a technical perspective but it looks cool!! Have you ordered an extract? If not it may be worth doing so.

    Nice catch.

I've had a couple of similar ones but this seems to be the hardest type to find. Looks great.

    Thank you very much!
You think they will be able to make a proper extract for this one due to special dial and age?

Here is one I sold a number of years ago. These were not military watches, just another variation of the reference, there were many different dials offered.

I doubt the extract will mention anything in particular about the dial. I don't think it was a special order, but could be wrong - there's no denying that it looks good :)

    Thank you!! :)
Well if it would just be an extract about SOME 165.002 without mentioning anything special I dont know if it would be worth the money... :)

For how much did you sell it? How much should it be worth this days?

I had one a long time ago. Really regret selling it. It was a very cool watch.
