·Hey Folks,
yesterday I saw a nice Seamaster 300 at a local flea market page, which made me curious. I did not had the intend to buy the watch, but I wanted to have a closer look. I took a short drive and had the watch in my hands. An early 165.024-63 with strange hands. A Quick reseatch prior to my visit allready showed other examples of this mystery. Asymmetric case SM 300 with CK 2913 "Small arrow" hands.
Despite it was a super early example, the patina in flash was even better than on the pics. So in the end, I bought the watch 😁.
This is the current status: Dirty, wrong Plexy, 16 Endlinks and a 8220 BOR bracelet.
So next step is the plexy and I am thinking what to do with the lume on the minute and second hand.
Question to the Seamaster experts. Is it accepted that early SM300s has the CK2913 or is this still a delicate topic? If second, maybe this example is another proof that the Italian catalog pics showing a real watch?
Cheers Nico
