    Hi to all!
I am Stephan and this is my first post here!
    Please, give me an advice.

I am considering to buy a Seamaster 2848-2846 6 SC cal 491 goldcap.
Although the price is good, I do have some concerns.
    1. I don't know if is a redial. The letter S is round shape, The letter M from Automatic is wide, like in OMEGA, it has no T before and after Swiss made.
    2. Most of the 2848-2846 SC I seen on the web are central second, this is sub-second.

This are the photos from The seller.

    Thanks!

2846-2848 is a double reference case, the 2846 having central seconds and the 2848 sub seconds. A round S on a 2848 can be correct, unfortunately the 2848 watch you have found has had a redial. Pass

    Hi Stephan -

    Welcome to the forum.

Yes the dial has been refinished and not very well.

Glad you came here first as I would not recommending buying it at any price.

The seller wants around 360 USD.

As has already been said by others smarter than me, the dial has been inexpertly redone, and I would avoid it. For example, I believe the S in Seamaster should not be touching (or nearly touching) the A in automatic. Also the subdial doesn’t have the concentric circle texture which I believe was on the original dial. Keep looking!

Good thing you posted here before buying. That is not the type of watch you want to purchase. Terrible redial.

If the strap is 18mm it’s not a large watch

    Edit 34mm just checked
