Omega Seamaster 2531.80 Helium Release Valve Stuck

Hey Guys,

The release valve on my Seamaster 2531.80 doesn't seem to unscrew using normal force.

Any help on how or who could do this?

I was planning to sell this watch should I make the buyer aware?

Im not sure whether the valve is in the correct position. Should there be a gap?

Keep the helium in the watch, it 'll lose it's value considerably if you do.

Definitely tell the buyer. That shouldn't even be a question. I think it's best if you take this to a watchmaker.

That looks like it is open already compared to my Seamaster 2254.50. On mine, you can't see the stem when it's closed. I wouldn't try to force it open any more, and hopefully you didn't force it too much so far. Try and see if you can close it in the other direction instead.

As others have said, that helium release valve is already unscrewed as far as it is designed to open. If you try to force it open any more, you risk breaking it. Try turning it clockwise to screw it back in. If that works, it is functioning as normal. If it doesn’t, then it has been broken and definitely needs to be noted to any buyer.
