    1D48D970-E224-4AD7-B23C-978E21B5CCE0.jpeg Hi

I have an old Seamaster that is a 36 mm diameter ( if measured properly?) with 18mm lug and want to change the strap to a pure blue rubber one or else a blue or grey one with white side stitching as seen on other omega models and in attached pictures.

Does anyone know what alternatives will fit?

    Thanks

Most leather and rubber bands available are 20mm size. I had fitted 18mm watches with 19mm bands by squeezing them a bit at the lugs, not sure if that would work with rubber bands. Check bands designed for the older Speedmaster racing models as those are 18mm if not mistaken

Your local jeweler can call Omega and get a list of alternatives, if you want genuine Omega. If aftermarket is acceptable, check eBay and some other watch band sites.

I don’t believe the AT ones in the photos will work as they are 20mm and designed specifically for the AT (they have that metal piece in the middle). I love the look and feel of those and asked my OB whether they will fit my 20mm lug width Sapphire Sandwich Speedmaster, and unfortunately they don’t.

Not sure about genuine omega rubber straps, but personally I love the Barton Quick Release Silicon Elite bands. They are cheap-ish, and have a quick release and come in many colours. I change them up regularly. You can get ‘em on amazon.

Hello, is your new strap that you order leather or rubber? I am also looking for my wife's Midsize Seamaster something red or orange rubber strap but couldn't find anywhere on the internet for 18mm.
    Thanks

First decision is do you want OEM or not.... you can get very high quality aftermarket straps, i have many custom made as my wrist is small and need a more appropriate size.

I ditched the blingy steel band and found this one on Aliexpress for $13. Yes, it is for 18mm lug space and they have blue available. You can request it to have the omega logo on the clasp or not. For $13 bucks, I love it!

I would measure the lug width and check again, I'm pretty sure the lug width on those 38mm cases is 19mm, not 18mm. That will make finding a strap even harder, but some 20mm straps can be compressed a little to fit 19mm.

It looks really nice $13 with folding clasp and the logo on it? Sounds like a bargain. Do youhave a link for it? Also, tell me one thing...if you pull the strap down, on either side, does it stay next to watch or it makes a small gap between the strap and the watch? I will attach a picture so you know what I mean.
