·Good evening everybody,
one more watch I need to part with for the watch drawer to close again. A huge thanks to the guys running this place - had some many pleasant conversations the last few days around the pieces I’ve offered and I appreciate it massively.
This one is a sparkle dial Seamaster with uncommon gold furniture - I think most of the SS ones were produced with matching hands and indices. I hope somebody will enjoy this one, as it’s in quite a nice shape.
The Watch
Omega Seamaster
Reference: 166.032
Movement: cal. 752 automatic day date
Serial: 29475888
Year: 1970
Case: 36mm stainless steel
Dial: silver sparkle dial, gold furniture, applied Omega logo
Strap: brown leather
Condition
Dial & Hands: Original dial in great shape. All the writing is clean and sharp, minimal residue at the very edge near the 11 marker that’s only really visible under the magnifying glass. Hands and indices in good shape, minimal lume loss on the minute hand, also nearly noticeable. Date window also in good condition.
Case: Original 36mm stainless steel case looks great. Only minimal marks visible, original brushing fully intact, sharp edges and chamfers. Only the backside of the lugs show light traces of a bracelet, case back is in good condition, very sharp Seamaster medallion.
Crown: Original, Omega crown which is correct for the ref. Omega-logo on the crown clearly visible.
Crystal: Original Omega crystal has a crack at 9. It can’t be felt and sits right, I haven’t replaced it as it didn’t bother me. A generic replacement can be discussed if you wish.
Movement: Original cal. 752 automatic in very clean condition. Sets, winds and runs well, service history is unknown, though. Day and date jump over crisply and the quickset works as it should.
Strap: Brown leather strap as displayed in the pictures.
