I have owned this watch since the late 1960's.

    No box or papers.

Here is a link to the Omega description of the watch - http://tinyurl.com/qama6qc

From the Omega data base it appears the date of production is 1963.

    Here is the description:

    International collection1962
    MovementType: Automatic (mechanical)
    Caliber number: 562 / 565

The watch is in fair condition for the age. The winder is not the original. It has no Omega symbol.

It was last serviced in 1991 and keeps good time.

Offered in the UK at £600 GBP delivered RMSD. International postage by agreement.

    Thanks for looking.

Kate, if you want something from 1963, it should have a serial # stamped on the movement 20 million something, "20,xxx,xxx".
This is a nice watch, but older.
Do you have some time or is his birthday, like Thursday or something?

Ha! Yes, of course I waited until the last minute. The big 50 is Thursday the 15th.

    Hello Kate,

I'll try and post a working link. Apologies. In the meantime:

If you search under the heading of "Vintage Omega Seamaster Special Cal 562 Gold Cap" that should take you to the item.

    Good luck.

    Bob.
