I am not a real expert, so wait for others to respond. It looks good to me. From what I can tell the case is sharp, and the dial nice but not perfect. I think $600 is a good price if everything checks out. Have you seen the watch in person? It looks like there is some scrapping on the movement from the rotor. Perhaps this has been addressed already. Check to see if you can hear the rotor rubbing.

It's genuine.

What are your thoughts on it? Have you compared it to other 166.010's?

IMO, I would go for it, genuine and the price is good. Movement looks dirty so a service will be needed.

The watch and movement look fine to me.

Given that the price includes the BOR bracelet, provided the seller is genuine, this is a bargain you’ll kick yourself for if you pass on it.

166.010 cal 565 are lovely classic watches.

Looks like a good daily wearer in original condition for a reasonable price.

As pointed out before count in the price for a service (USD 200 +?)

Some parts of the movement look like exchanged / worn

But if the watch is runnning good and you don't care thats nothing you have to worry about

EDIT Ask the seller for a close up of the dial like pictures 2 and 3

If you like this design, I would go with the version for Japan market, which has the same ref, but cal 564 and Chronometre on the dial.
This particular watch looks good to me, in nice shape.
The rotor bearing is a bit tired, for sure it will require service + new rotor bearing+post.

The rotor was or still is rubbing which is caused by a worn rotor bearing. The watch will need a service, and if the issue needs to be fixed it can be done then for minimal extra cost. I think the price of the watch allows for that, and you will still come out with a good deal.

It is already a replacement rotor but it looks like it has been rubbing, so a service is needed. Take it to someone who is able to source Omega parts. These are beautiful watches and the price is very good for the condition. The 166.010 and BOR combo is a classic Omega design IMO.

While you're at it, wouldn't hurt to ask the seller for a pic of the crown, and a picture of the back of the clasp on the bracelet.
The lines/design on this watch are timeless! Really nice piece at that price.

I can already tell it has a service crown as the originals are now very hard to find. I got lucky in that my watchmaker oculd replace the seals in mine.

Hello,
Is there a way to distinguish replacement rotors?

Legend has it that the circle on the rotor denotes replacement.

But it's not necessarily the rotor or its shaft that is the problem. Those rotors don't always go through jeweled holes (though I think this one does) so it could be worn plates too.

That is my understanding - the stamped circle on the inside of the rotor indicates a replacement part. Also, there is a clear difference in color between the rotor assembly and the main plate.

Steel axle with bronze bushing...no jewels on this rotor.

Thanks, I wasn't sure where the "extra" jewels were. I have one of these coming back soon that I know had some bushings replaced.
