Up for sale is my 1964 165-014 Omega Seamaster 300. I had an opportunity to grab a “grail” for me, so this has to go to fund it. I figured I’d list it here for a couple days first before opening it to other forums as you all are the Omega nuts!
Freshly serviced with a one year warranty from Grand Haven Jewelry, Grand Haven MI. I bought this from a friend after lusting after it for some time. It still has the bezel insert and the numbers are still legible from 40 heading all the way around to 20. The insert was touched up at the 25 to 35 point with black paint. Dial has a gorgeous patina. Case has the marks and such as would be expected from a 49 year old tool watch.
Bad points are that the watchmaker had to use a generic crown at service to get it waterproof and tossed the original. Also, the lume on the minute hand broke during removal and he patched it. Jack @ IWW feels he can do a credible job with a hand re-lume to match the dial patina, if that bothers you.
I bought it with an 1125 bracelet, but have recently fitted it with a 1035 with 630 end links. The bracelet stretch links are tight and it is full length. Basically, this is a vintage tool diver that can be worn every day. Prices are $2,500 head only, $2,700 on 1125, or $3,000 on the 1035. Prices are net to me via PayPal (you add 4% for fees), and that is a delivered USPS Express CONUS. I will gladly ship internationally at cost and we can discuss declared value.
Included with the watch will be a 1964 magazine ad suitable for framing (see below).
I know I’m new here, but I have many successful transactions on TZ, TZ-UK, DWC and WUS, as well as 382 (100%) on eBay as merde03. Please feel free to ask any questions. Happy to provide telephone # if you would like to chat about this great piece.
