·Hi All, in a bid to get my first vintage watch, I purchased this recently as a first step. It looks from the 60s, is rose gold capped with a stainless steel back.
I sent it away to a local Omega specialist to get serviced and they have confirmed it is a 14701 1 SC. It has the dauphine hands, sweeping seconds hand and hour markers all in rose gold. Overall in very good condition with scratches on the crystal and on the caseback.
Being a student, I can't afford the cost to service it at this time so am putting it up for sale so someone else can get the enjoyment of this fine watch. I have also purchased a brand new black Hirsch Camelgrain strap which is currently on the watch (it originally had an aftermarket brown alligator skin strap which I will also include). It also has a rose gold Omega buckle.
In terms of the service, it is running, but could do with a service and the watchmaker stated it needed a new crown (currently has a yellow gold one, which is not the original) and could do with a new crystal as there are some scratches on it. I believe it has the 562 calibre movement in it, but as I am not able to open it I cannot confirm this.
This would make a great vintage timepiece with a service and crystal, and although I have not been a member for long, I am being completely honest about this timepiece.
