This was in the watch makers stash

Few weeks ago I took it to the AD to send to Omega to see if it worth servicing as it was a non runner

Quote came back over £1000 for service and various parts

Went to AD today to pick it back up noticed the hands had moved opened it up and put a new battery in it and now its happily ticking away

Ordered a new crown £30 quid from ebay

Good to hear an old 1342 is working again. Might not last though as they are pretty temperamental in my experience ;-)

cool but a quartz needs service too. It has wheels and needs oil(s)
