Omega Seamaster 120M authenticity

I have bought an Omega Seamaster 120M (ref. 2501.81) from 1996 on Chrono24 from a professional dealer. They have over 10 000 reviews and 4.9/5 in score. I bought it with the original box and a warranty card. The serial number on the card matches the serial number on the watch. It starts with 496. So far so good. When I got the watch, I first noticed something I hadn't noticed on the product photos. Some of the 1/5 second markings around the edge of the dial are missing (mostly around the 60-second mark). What I find strange, is that there is no residue or faded remnants where the markings should be. The markings immeditately next to the missing are in perfect condition. The watch itself doesn't look used. I have a hard time finding a single scratch. The box has discoloration and looks old. The dealer thinks it is age-related deterioration, but I want a second opinion just to be sure. How likely is it that the watch, including the dial, is authentic? What can be the cause behind the missing markers?

Everything looks legit to me. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a fake version of this - they were not popular enough at the time to fake, I think. As far as the missing minute markers, it could have just been a misprinted dial that got past quality control and has been that way since new. If it bothers you, you can have it serviced by Omega and purchase a service dial to replace it.

Looks fine to me with regards to authenticity. New dials are still available, so it could be replaced.
