Hey all!

I'm in talks with a seller about purchasing this watch, but wanted to run it by members of this community since I've heard they're uncommon to find but commonly have faked bezels, redials, etc,.

Thoughts on this? I really like the color of this watch.

Here are pics the seller supplied:

It’s genuine but are you aware it’s the 31mm ladies version?

Something that immediately jumps out at me is that although the hands have lume on them I can't see any lume plots on the dial, indicating either the hands are wrong or its a redial

Hmmm I was not aware, but 31mm might be even better for my 5.75in circumference wrist...

Ah hmmm...gotcha. I looked up other images of this watch, and saw this example:

By "lume plots," does this mean that in this picture, the big baton markers for the hours have lume?

Pretty much the whole of the hour marker is lume at 3, 6, 9 and 12 and the rest are all lume.

Omega made these in a couple of colors: black, green, blue, burgundy/red, and black with an orange bezel (which I have). Proportions and aging look right compared to the 566.007 I have.

Thanks all for your replies! What would be a fair price to pay for this?

The seller is asking ~$1500 USD, and I'm wondering if that's on the high side for one of these, or if that's a fair price.

Given that a 37mm black one sold for $1600(ish) not long ago, and a blue 31mm one with bracelet sold for a best offer less than $1500 (eBay doesn't say what the actual price sold was), I think there's room to negotiate. Think of the highest price where you'd buy the watch without question and start there.

This is not a boy size watch, it’s a proper ladies watch with a 25mm diameter and it will not look good regardless of wrist size. $1500 is way overpriced for the ladies model as well. Specially of it’s not in top condition.

Have you considered other non-diver Omegas? There are many references that are 31-33mm in diameter which would look proper.

As an owner of a 566.007, it's 31mm watch, not 25mm. You're thinking of another reference.

I stand corrected, I was measuring a 566.024 which has the same caliber as the OP watch.

I maintain that even for those with small wrists this is too small for a man.
Due to demand I’d say at best it’s worth half of what the full size versions sell for so around $800.

Yeah, you can see there where it’s coloured in. Sometimes lume can just be tiny dots, but it’s always something to look for in a watch - if there’s lume on the hands but not on the dial and vice versa it means something has been swapped out or changed.

The dark things you see inside the hands are darkened lumes in my opinion, so no issues there

The only issue is the size and price, I think the highest price one should pay is $700 and the ladies date window isn't very appealing in my opinion
