Hi guys!
I have found a super nice (according ro me )omega seamaster 120. I do have some concerns firstly as you can see on the picture the bezel and dial have different colors which makes we wonder if something is changed here, either the dial or the bezel? And second I wonder about the hands, are they also changed? Cause when I google the watch I see different hands, especially the one indicating seconds.

and lastly, what would you say is a fair price for the watch (the clockwork looks to be in good shape)

case ref: 165.027
Cal: 552

Many thanks!! //

At first glance, it looks good, but these photos aren't that great. More photos of the case, caseback, and dial in better light would help myself and others provide better determinations. These Seamasters can be a minefield with a lot of fake parts floating around.

Regarding the dial/bezel: They don't often match up in shade/color and the bezels can fade with age.

Price: Most on the forum shy away from giving prices and prices range significantly depending on where you are in the world. These models are discussed often, so your better bet is to search through the past posts to get an impression of the appropriate range. I think a better question Is, How much is the watch listed for?

Thank you for answer! The fact regarding fakes were the reason to why I posted here to get insights. I have attached a couple of other photos from the seller, unfortunately not of better quality, but hopefully you will be able to say anything regarding them. And I will check in the forum for further information, thank you for the tip!

The pictures do suck and the seller’s color balance is cold so the pictures appear bluer than they should (so yellow lume appears pale green). I would ask for a picture in sunlight to verify the hands are indeed silver (except the second hand which should be white) and the lume is appropriately yellow.
As said above, the bezels age to grey as they are anodized aluminum- this one is actually in very nice shape and still has the pip. Case seems sharp, crown looks correct, back hasn’t been polished to death showing regular swirl marks and a nice sharp logo.
I think this may be a nice one- they do happen. As for value, they have shot up in the last 2 years and the better ones are climbing fast (and getting harder to find). I would say head only would be a nice buy at $2kUS, if it went on eBay and got full attention I could see it climbing to $2.5-3k these days. But that’s just a guess.

Get a sunlight pic and verify lume color and it will also reveal any dial damage (don’t confuse shadows from crystal scratches with dial damage). Ask for three shots- one strait one, one at an angle from the left, and one from an angle from the right. The angles will allow you to see crystal scratches move and then you’ll know how the dial looks (and you should see the omega logo floating on the underside of the crystal in the center).
The price seems good to me, of course if there is room to haggle, go for it.
You may be able to find one in lesser condition for less money, but if you want a good one, the premium is worth it.

The pictures are terrible. In real life the watch could be lovely or washed out. Better pictures are needed as they this will impact value by around 1k.

Assuming it’s attractive $2200 seems reasonable.
